Through our partnership with the Adult Literacy League, the Library offers help and resources to the diverse community of learners that we serve. We want to help you provide a brighter future for yourself and the community.

The Osceola Library System and the Adult Literacy League offer ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and Adult Basic Education classes at the Hart Memorial Central Library.

Citizenship Class
Every Monday
9:30 am- 10:30 am at the Hart Memorial Central Library in the Roseada Room

Learn about the process of becoming a citizen, and prepare for the U.S. Citizenship interview and exam. Study United States history and government for the examination with Vince Scalise, a favorite teacher from the Adult Literacy League who has taught Citizenship classes for 11 years.

ESOL Class
Every Monday
9:30 am- 10:30 am at the Hart Memorial Central Library in the Roseada Room

Practice your English speaking and reading skills in this weekly one hour course is taught by Vince Scalise, a favorite teacher who has facilitated ESOL classes for 11 years.

The Library also provides books, DVDs, and CDs for ESOL students and tutors; computer classes and other programs in Spanish and English; online databases such as MANGO LANGUAGES; and space for tutoring, classes, and meetings.

Adult Literacy League
The Adult Literacy League provides literacy and language acquisition services to adults for whom English is not a native language.
